The Runaways, Floria Sigismondi's biopic about the '70s rock band that introduced the world to Joan Jett, Lita Ford, and future Bangles bassist Micki Steele, is coming to town sooner than expected. While the rest of the country has to wait until Mar. 19, the Walker Art Center will screen the film on Mar. 13 as part of the Women With Vision International Film Festival. The 17th annual festival, which runs Mar. 12-27, opens with the premiere of Claire Denis' 35 Shots of Rum and includes appearances by featured directors, locally made documentaries, and a showcase of short films made by Minnesota girls ages 10-18.
