With three big names — Gus Van Sant, Sofia Coppola and Bill Condon — being floated as potential candidates to direct "Breaking Dawn," it seems that, along with Robert Pattinson, both Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning have strong feelings about Van Sant.
"Oh my god! He just makes stunning movies. I just love his work," Stewart gushed at the red carpet for hew new flick, "The Runaways," on Thursday in New York. "I don't know exactly what he would bring to the film but he's [great]."
Van Sant has directed many films over his 20-year-plus career, with "Milk," "Good Will Hunting," "My Own Private Idaho" and "Drugstore Cowboy" among the best known.
And although Stewart feels the directors who have helmed the previous "Twilight" flicks have been great, she knows that Van Sant could bring his unique vision to the saga. "All of his movies are so true to how people [are] ... they are just more realistic," she said. "They've got so much depth. I feel that all of the movies have that [something]. I feel like all the directors have already brought that, but he's one of my favorites, so I would love that."
