In an interview with FEARnet during Eclipse promos back in June, Twilight producer Wyck Godfrey stated he "would love" for Kristen to play the starring role in the upcoming remake of Martyrs (a film being produced by him).
LATimes is now reporting exclusively that a director for the film has been hired: Daniel Stamm. They also stated:
Stamm did dismiss the Internet rumor that Kristen Stewart could be starring in the remake, laughing and quizzically saying that it's "the first time I've heard that."
One down on the rumor mill. Now if reliable sources could confirm/debunk the other rumored roles circulating, we would be eternally grateful. Among those are: An American Girl, Backwoods, Jumper 2, Wanted 2 and most recently Someone in the Dark.
