The buzz on Kristen Stewart

No comments:

Her name is everywhere - and it's not always because of some fabricated wedding or pregnancy rumor, either.
Lately, the buzz on
Kristen Stewart has been ultra positive, and - to pay homage to those with nice things to say - here's the low-down on who's talking Kristen Stewart.
First of all, Celebreality and former America's Next Top Model star Adrianne Curry had a few things to say about the stunning Stewart via Twitter recently. In her tweets, she went back and forth with some of her own followers to say things like "She is young, beautiful," and that you don't "have to love being famous to love acting." More on that is available
here.
Secondly, a very lovely run-down on five reasons to love Kristen Stewart was issued by PopStar recently, where they state that "Whether she is cracking jokes in interviews or dropping trophies at award shows, Stewart is never afraid to let her inner goof shine through which is really spectacular." They also point out the somewhat obvious fact that Stewart is "strong-willed and focused on her beliefs." The full list is available
here.

Stewart's The Twilight Saga: New Moon co-star Charlie Bewley had an interview recently with
Hollywood.com where he talked about Stewart, hitting the nail on the head with some rationale as to why she happens to not be the fame-banging attention . . . . well, you know. Said he,
I think she could be a lot like Bella. She doesn’t want too much attention, and she picks her friends wisely and she’s someone who just wants to do her work. Not everyone is going to be like Jamie [Campbell Bower] or me or someone who loves this whole attention thing and laps it up and sees it as a life experience. Some people are more reserved, just ‘I just want to keep myself to myself and do my thing and sorry if I can’t give all of my energy to you.’
Screenstar's Colleen Joyce, when recounting some of the background information on Stewart's next endeavor, K-11, had some kind things to say about both Stewart and her co-star Nikki Reed as well. Said she,
Both Reed and Stewart will play men in this film which is a far cry from their flawless beauty depicted in Twilight, a bold and brave move for both these rising stars that has always been willing to take on the controversial roles and push their acting limits. Don't be surprised to see these ladies February 2011 on the red carpet of the Oscars looking to pick up some gold!

Kristen Stewart's 'The Yellow Handkerchief' to be screened in Chicago on October 18th

No comments:

In case you didn't already know, Kristen Stewart's film The Yellow Handkerchief was brought back around to the concept table for distribution during a deal between Samuel Goldwyn Pictures and the film studio Arthur Cohn Productions (see here).

It is planned for distribution on a fledgling pay cable channel as well (see here).
Now, it has been announced that the film will be a part of the Chicago International Film Festival on October 18th in Chicago, Illinois.
The screening will take place at 7:00 p.m., and tickets are available for $20-25. Details on the screening are available
here.

The Yellow Handkerchief's description is as follows:

Gorgeous in its visual execution and sublime in its emotional resonance, The Yellow Handkerchief is a timeless story of trust, forgiveness, and love. After serving six years, Brett Hanson (William Hurt) is released from prison with quiet dignity and subtle remorse. Bound for home, but unsure if his wife (Maria Bello) will welcome him, Brett accepts a ride from two wayward teens (Kristen Stewart, Eddie Redmayne). At first, he keeps to himself, but in time he becomes a trusted father figure and begins to slowly reveal the secrets of his troubled past. As Brett watches young love blossom between his two new friends, he is reminded that true love is worth waiting for, and sometimes fate gives you a second chance.

Team 411 takes on Kristen Stewart as Joan Jett in 'The Runaways'

No comments:
As a new feature to this column, the popular Twitter duo "Bestie" and "411" of KStew411 will be presenting intermittent opinion pieces on the current exciting goings-on that surround Kristen Stewart at any given moment.

Fans know that Stewart is currently working on
The Twilight Saga: Eclipse and filmed The Runaways (a biopic wherein she portrays Joan Jett) this summer.
So, in this piece, entitled "Portraying Joan Jett is the kind of role young actresses dream of" or, perhaps better dubbed, "Why Kristen Stewart totally needed the mullet," the subject of the efficacy of Stewart's new haircut for the film is tackled, KStew411 style. Take a look.

A popular topic of conversation around gmail the Team 411 office is Kristen Stewart’s dedication to her craft and the roles she takes on. At only 19, she has already worked with Jodie Foster, Robert DeNiro, Meg Ryan, Sharon Stone, James Gandolfini, and Donald Sutherland. She’s been directed by the likes of David Fincher, Jon Favreau, Sean Penn, and up-and-coming names like Greg Mottola and David Slade. Sure she’s talented, and yes, she has a reputation for being very professional. But a big part of what makes her so in demand is her pure dedication to delivering her best each time she goes in front of a camera. In 2002’s Panic Room, Kristen’s character suffers diabetic shock. In 2007’s The Cake Eaters, she plays a teen dealing with a rare degenerative nerve disorder. Her resume is loaded with characters that made physical demands on her, roles that were comprised of making we the audience believe she suffered. Kristen has always been lauded for her ability to communicate her character’s experiences in such a physical way.
So who was really surprised when she cut her hair into a mullet and dyed it jet black in order to play Joan Jett?
Apparently a lot of people were, and still are, shocked by this decision. I guess it’s because I am a fan of Kristen first, and Twilight second, that I completely understood her decision. Did it make me want to run out and get a mullet? No. Did I admire her dedication to such an important role? Yes.
Because let’s face it. Portraying Joan Jett in a biopic about legendary teen punk rockers The Runaways is a big deal. I’m not sure Twilight fans really understand this. Every time pictures of Kristen out with the Joan-hair surface, or in Bella’s busted wig for Eclipse, someone feels the need to tweet at me, Why did she do that???!!!1 why couldn’t she wear a wig for runaways? Bella’s supposed to have pretty hair!!!1!! Isn’t that kinda the point, though? Joan Jett is punk rock. Punk rock is about rebellion. What’s more rebellious than an up-and-coming actress cutting off her pretty-girl hair for a mullet? It’s pretty much the biggest [middle finger] Kristen could give to the idea of being just another cute starlet on the cover of a magazine.

And look, I get it. For Twilight-first fans, Bella is more important than Kristen. And I also know not all Twi-fans feel that way, but I still hear this, months after she cut her hair, and it still bugs everyone on Team 411 to hear it. Examining Kristen’s resume, it’s pretty clear that a project like The Runaways is more indicative of the sort of long-term career Kristen is establishing. Yes, Bella is the role that made her world famous, but it’s parts like Joan Jett that will cement her reputation as one of the finest actresses of her generation.

Portraying Joan Jett is harder than bringing Bella to life. Why? Because Joan Jett is a real person. A real person who is still alive. Who was on set nearly every day of filming. Let’s think about that. You’re in a movie, playing a legendary rockstar. Said legendary rockstar is not only alive and producing this movie, she’s on set damn near every day, looking over your shoulder. No pressure, right? When filming one of the Twilight movies, Bella Swan is not sitting behind the camera, watching Kristen’s every move. Kristen did a number of things to make the role of Joan Jett her own. She wore a pair of Joan’s old shoes, had one of Joan’s old guitars. She learned how to play and sing a number of The Runaways’ songs. But at the end of the day, she said it was cutting her hair into Joan’s famous mullet that made her feel like Joan. No one berates Nicole Kidman for wearing a prosthetic nose as Virginia Woolf in The Hours, and people applaud when actors like George Clooney and Matt Damon gain weight for roles. Christian Bale has made his career in chameleonic physical changes. Yet when a nineteen-year-old girl gets a bad haircut so she can play a 1970’s era punk rocker, the world derides her decision and makes fun of her for it. I say we stand up and cheer for Kristen’s decision to wear bad hair for months on end in order to be as realistic and true as possible in her role.

Check out the video below, passed along by #KStew411 follower

@TheMetaPeta to see Joan and The Runaways in 1977. There are a couple outfits in there that Kristen will reproduce in the film. Also, is it just me, or does Cherie Currie kinda look like the chick from Debbie Does Dallas?

Robsten Party Close in Vancouver

No comments:
In an article today by our friend Ted Casablanca's The Awful Truth:
As most of you know, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Kellan Lutz and the whole Eclipse gang hit up the Players Chophouse Saturday night for a private party hosted by Jackson Rathbone's band, 100 Monkeys, among others.

While we're sure our invitation just got lost in the mail, we were able to track down a friend of the Twi-crew who was in attendance at the purposely private get-together.
A rep for Players Chophouse confirms the party took place with most members of the Twilight cast present (always gotta officially check, ya know), but we were way more curious about the Robsten interaction.
Here's what we could get out of our insider:"Rob and Kristen came after most of the cast and they did come together," our partygoer tells us. "They were together most of the night, but definitely interacted with other members of the cast."
So how does the rest of the crew feel about Robsten's relaysh? After all, there is a lot riding on this puppy-love romance working out."Everyone just expects [Rob and Kristen] to be together. It's sort of a package deal with them now—everyone knows they hang out during whatever downtime they get," Deep Twi adds. "When you think about it, it makes a lot of sense. [Rob and Kristen] are the two [castmembers] experiencing this intense fame. It becomes a lot more manageable when you have someone else who understands what you're going through."

Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart All Over Each Other...in New "New Moon" Poster

No comments:

It must be a good day. We don't just get one new New Moon poster, we get three!
Plus, in the first, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are way touchy-feely.
They're so close it practically proves they're totally together IRL, even though they're posing as Bella and Edward.Seriously, we hope Rob trimmed his nails.
Otherwise, that's going to leave a rather scandalous mark on K.Stew's back.
The rest of the Cullens are in the background, but they're not touching each other at all. And Jackson Rathbone is giving a really creepy look. Yikes.
The wolves—including Taylor Lautner in a shirt, darn!—get all intimidating and packlike in another of the posters.
And the Volturi gang get red-eyed ready in the third. The trio are all tagged at the top with "The Next Chapter Begins."Actually, it doesn't begin for another 53 days, not like we're counting or anything.

'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn' wedding explored

No comments:
It's not even a confirmed film, and fans are already imagining what The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn's wedding would look like.

One creative photoshopper took the time to bring to life his or her own visions of what said occasion would look like in these photos by adding Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson into a few wedding portraits.

The idea of the Breaking Dawn wedding has been a topic of discussion for some time now.
When the thought was passed around that perhaps, if The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn were not going to be made into film, the wedding could take place at the end of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, fans were none too pleased with it.

Of course, since then, fans have pushed for Breaking Dawn to be made as the closing to the Twilight saga films - some with the continued and ardent assertion that The Twilight Saga: New Moon director Chris Weitz should become the director of the project - and a little wedding dress project that came along did little to quell those discussions.
Needless to say, most Twilight fans are fairly adamant that the film should reach cinematic fruition at this point. In fact, Boo Boo Stewart's suggestion that there'd be a fifth Twilight film went over very well with a great number of fans as well.
Other features of Breaking Dawn, too, have been examined - be it Breaking Dawn fan-made film posters, images of a potential Renesmee, or potential casting of actors like Isla Fisher or Ryan Reynolds for various roles.
Most of the cast has given their blessings to the project, so many fans anticipate an announcement of the film's planned creation any day now. Of course, absent official confirmation to that effect, nothing is set in stone.
At any rate, there is no harm in enjoying a little photoshop fun is there?

Robsten always together

No comments:

As we told you last week, Team Awful was in the Vancouver area over the weekend.
And since we (along with Oprah) ended up getting totally barred from any visits to the Eclipse set, we decided to make the most of our time in the city Robsten currently calls home. While there were no Robert Pattinson or Kristen Stewart sightings, call it a wee bit of Twilight fate when we ended up at apparently one of Robsten's (and the cast's) frequent hangs for dinner.

Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart Rock 'N' Roll At Vancouver Party

No comments:

Twilight stars (and rumored lovers) Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were spotted together at the Players Chophouse in Vancouver, Canada Saturday at a private party that featured up-and-coming bands Bleeding Horse Express, Captain Dust, and 100 Monkeys.

Pattinson and Stewart, onlookers said, arrived at the party together, but left separate. RPattz was snapped leaving a cab with a hoodie covering his famous tussled hair.

Other Twilight cast-members in attendance at the shindig included Ashley Greene, Xavier Samuel and Jackson Rathbone.

Eclipse hits theatres June 30, 2010, but as Twilight fans know, the highly-anticipated second installment in the Twilight series, New Moon, hits theatres November 20, 2009.

Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner to attend Knoxville premiere of 'New Moon'

3 comments:

At least one source is reporting that The Twilight Saga: New Moon's sub-premiere (as the official premiere will take place in Los Angeles, of course, on November 16th) in Knoxville, Tennessee on November 17th will be attended by Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner.

The showing is meant to benefit a local children's charity, and a drawing/lottery will be held for the opportunity to purchase tickets for the event this October. According to the same source, those selected to have the opportunity to purchase the tickets will have to have $100 for each of the two potential tickets on-hand, as this is the cost for general admission to the event.

More information about that is available here.

Developing: Special “New Moon” Fan Event Planned

No comments:

Gossip Cop is reporting:
"As the second part of “The Twilight Saga” nears theaters, its release has become a saga all its own.
This morning reports surfaced that, while “New Moon” would have its world premiere in Los Angeles and NOT the UK (as Gossip Cop confirmed already), E1 Entertainment was in the process of organizing a special event for fans in the UK on November 11 – “with the cast.”
Gossip Cop has confirmed today with a source close to the production that a special fan event IS being planned in the United Kingdom ahead of the official U.S./world premiere on November 16.
Details – including which cast members would be in attendance – are still materializing.
As always, we’ll keep you updated as soon as we have information"

Bella's New Moon Ornate Floor Mirror

No comments:

"In behind-the-scenes photos from the upcoming and highly buzzed New Moon, Bella Swan's bedroom boasts a fancy ornate wooden floor mirror, in addition to beautiful flocked bedding.

Another photo from the set suggests that it may actually be a mirror that attaches to a dresser.

But for the sake of the illusion, I hunted down a similar ornate wooden floor mirror for you."
The Isabella White Cherval Floor Mirror ($749) is nearly an exact replica with a turned wood base and filigree at the top. If you'd prefer something more affordable, the PBteen Lilac Floor Mirror ($199) is similar in style, although it is rounded.

A 'Twilight' costume museum you'll want to see

No comments:

One of the features at Fantasy Tour (Eyecon Orlando) is John Henson's Twilight costume museum.
Henson, a costume designer himself, has many precious pieces of Twilight, The Twilight Saga: New Moon, and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse on display for free to patrons of the convention.
In this photo, Robert Pattinson's stuntman's clothing in Twilight is featured from the film.
Some items, like Nikki Reed's Rosalie shoes, come straight from the main cast's use.
A lot of the pieces are congruent originals, like an extra shirt that Kristen Stewart would have worn for her piazza scene in New Moon or an extra copy of Rachelle Lefevre's "kiss me" shirt.
Henson also identified the jacket that Stewart wore in Eclipse scenes with Taylor Lautner in the parking lot (the motorcycle sequence). That jacket is available at American Eagle here.
Below is a slideshow of some of the costumes featured at the museum, and more information is available here.

5 Reasons to Love Kristen Stewart

No comments:
We took on the daunting task of narrowing down the 5 Reasons to Love Robert Pattinson and we followed up by heavily researching the 5 Reasons to Love Taylor Launter which was a steamy task.
To connect the sides of the on screen love triangle we are ready to examine the 5 Reasons to Love Kristen Stewart.
In a world where beauty is defined by pop culture and self-doubt is lurking behind every corner, it is hard to stay disciplined and display confidence.
Kristen Stewart has always been unapologetic about what she says and how she says it. While many outright are off put by this display of self-assurance, we should take note and praise her for her bravery to speak her mind. The articulate, well read Stewart was sucked into a whirlwind when she was cast as Bella Swan in The Twilight Saga. Fans crept out of all ends of the world and were dying to get a piece of the seasoned Hollywood actress.
The most seasoned actor could not have prepared Stewart for the 180 degree change that was made of her life after taking that role.Over the past two years we have all seen a piece of ourselves in Kristen Stewart which allows us to relate to her, learn from her and admire her even more.

There are many reasons to love The Twilight Saga: New Moon actress and we are ready to explore the Top Five.

1. Strong-Willed. If anything, Kristen Stewart is strong-willed and focused on her beliefs. This refreshing attitude makes Stewart an incredible role model for women all around the world. She shows us how to be strong, how to stand your ground, and never waver on your own personal values.
2. Goofy. We are all goofy in our own way; whether we are The Class clown or the klutz we can all relate to Stewart because of this. Whether she is cracking jokes in interviews or dropping trophies at award shows, Stewart is never afraid to let her inner goof shine through which is really spectacular.
3. Intelligent. Being smart is so cool and that message is not displayed enough in Hollywood. Whenever Stewart has a chance she is always talking about her favorite books and what she is currently reading. Brining Steinbeck back to life, Stewart has made it cool to read again and that deserves major props!
4. Dedicated. Stewart is dedicated to her craft and it is amazing to see her throw herself into the characters she portrays on the big screen. Not only did she bring the beloved Bella Swan to life, this past summer she brought back the love for 80's while portraying Joan Jett in The Runaways. Her work is flawless and that is because she spends hours preparing and dedicating time to her craft.
5. Bella Swan. Let's be honest, we love Kristen Stewart because she simply is the best version of Bella Swan that we could imagine. Bringing Bella to life was a daunting task, but Stewart did it with grace, passion, and perfection.Kristen Stewart is a remarkable actress and as fans it has been a pleasure to watch Stewart bring a heartbeat to Bella Swan, the most beloved character in 21st century literature. Of course there are more than five reasons to love KStew so this is where we need your help. Below in the comments section, tell us why you love Kristen Stewart.
We are going to continue our 5 Reason to Love series but we want your input. Who should be next?

The Awful Truth Eclipse Set Goes Into Lockdown

No comments:

Summit has us just where they want us. And by us, we mean Robsten fans, Twilight fans and the media.
See, Team Awful is planning on making an impromptu (totally!) trip up to Vancouver, B.C., very shortly to do a little Eclipse snooping since everyone on set is MIA in the media and all mouths are on may-jah lockdown.
We put a call in to Summit to see if we could get any on-set access ('cause how much Twi pimping do we do?), not to molest Robert Pattinson or anything, but just to observe a bit of how filming is going.Let's just say they didn't say, "Ted and Taryn, come on down!" Two's company though, because we were told not even Oprah's being granted permission to visit the set. Swear.
The Big O…zero access. It's friggin' nuts!Well, don't forget:We just happen to have more than a few besties who are already there, so no sweat! But really: It's smart on the studio's part to keep the media at bay, 'cause it gives them all the power. Which Summit knows, of course. Now that they have their Robsten situation totally in control, it's time to whip some journalists in line, too.
Here's what the suits have in store:
That incredibly bland ass-kissing rag People has been playing nice recently after the whole "Rob's Messy Love Life" debacle and is being graciously rewarded by at least one superexclusive New Moon pic for a Twi special they're putting together (on stands mid-October we hear)."That's one reason why no one is allowed on the set of Eclipse," fesses Deep Twi. "It's time to get the emphasis off the third film and back on New Moon.
"Please, as if any of us have forgotten? But in case you have, look for Us Weekly to have another special Twilight edition out momentarily—only this time it's filled with paparazzi shots, or so we're told.
Hey Summit—Team Awful can play nice too (sorta). If we're extra good can we get any special photos? Or at least first rights when the Robsten sex-tape is released? We kid, we kid, but seriously...throw us a friggin' vampire bone! Right fans?

'New Moon' products make an appearance in theaters already

No comments:

It's less than two months until The Twilight Saga: New Moon hits worldwide theaters, and the theaters are already prepping for the release.
A blogger at Twifans.com found that AMC Theaters was already placing New Moon promotional items such as these cups (which feature Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner) and Vitamin Water ads in their locations.

Fans had already reported seeing posters for the film in theaters quite a while back, but with theaters selling out tickets like hotcakes this early in advance, it is probably not surprising that they'd also be readying and presenting their promotional materials as well.

Sites are picking up a sizzling In Touch magazine claim that Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart will “go public with their clandestine romance in a revealing interview” in this December’s edition of Harper’s Bazaar.

“Insiders” tell the tabloid that the “tell-all interview” will confirm months of speculation that the co-stars are a real-life couple.

An employee for Harper’s who “accompanied the couple” to a photoshoot last month supposedly says, “Rob and Kristen were relatively open about their relationship.”

Here’s what Gossip Cop can confirm – the stars DID shoot, in Vancouver, a big feature story that as of now is slated for the magazine’s December cover.

But a source close to the production tells Gossip Cop exclusively that Pattinson and Stewart “do NOT” discuss whether or not they’re a couple.

Do NOT.

So there you have it. You heard it here first.

'Twilight' making an impact on this year's Halloween costumes

1 comment:

Another industry has been taking note of the Twilight series fandom, it seems.According to a recent press release,
Twilight has become the biggest fan phenomenon to hit North America since Lord of the Rings, and people are excited about dressing up as their favorite Twilight character this Halloween. Contact lenses in special designs, and colors help take a costume to the next level and are used frequently by Hollywood blockbusters such as X-Men, Star Wars, Harry Potter and Twilight.

"Twilight is a popular request this year. Everyone wants to be Edward or some type of Vampire and the key costume piece for a vampire is the eyes. People are really having fun with it- blood red eyes, vampire dark purple, or Edward's amber colored eyes. When you put a pair of these SFX contact lenses in, it really changes the way you look." added Harvey.

As the vampire theme heats up this year, setting your self apart from the crowd has become easier with Coastal Contacts new Twilight inspired lens, hitting stores just last week. Most of their Special Effects contact lenses are available in prescription powers, for people who need vision correction, and all lenses from Coastal Contacts are FDA approved. The contact lens industry isn't the only one preparing for a spike in Twilight-related costuming this Halloween.
According to at least two sources (here and here), local costume retailers are looking forward to an increase in vampire costume sales coming off of the success of Twilight and True Blood. Make-up artists are even lending their advice to consumers for how to best approach the pale vampire look and which products to use.
One website even took the time to outline the best way to become Bella and Edward for Halloween (though, to be honest, their inclusion of "fake fangs" in the to-become-Edward list negates some of the more agreeable suggestions like using body glitter to become sparkly).
Finally, Hot Topic has streamlined the pieces of clothing necessary to put together Edward and Alice costumes

Twilight Saga Dish

No comments:

E! online reports that 'Twilight' screenwriter, Melissa Rosenberg will finish out the saga and write the script for 'Breaking Dawn.

''Breaking Dawn' is the last and longest in the "Twilight Saga" line. But the biggest 'Breaking Dawn' question is, will it be split into two movies?

Stephanie Meyer, the author of the "Twilight" books has said herself that there is so much information in "Breaking Dawn" that it would have to be split in to two films.

E!'s source says Summit execs are referring to the film as the "Breaking Dawn Films" leaving us to think that it will be made in to two separate movies.

But, more or less Summit is waiting to see if the movies' stars, aka, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner, will sign up for a fifth movie.

The cast is already signed for a fourth, but will they sign for 'Breaking Dawn Part II?"

Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson: coffee & Volvo

New photos of Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson on set yesterday. Joan Jett hair made an appearance early in the morning upon arrival – so much better than that ghetto wig – as both look relaxed, hitting up on coffee to prepare for a long day working on Eclipse.

Billy Burke was also on set shooting a scene from early in the film that takes place outside the police station.
“Bella” and “Edward” drive up in his Volvo. She’s all curious about sh- and demanding to know everything and he’s being cagy with his answers because what she doesn’t know might hurt her because she’s so fragile and pathetic and then “Charlie” comes out and they talk about the airline ticket and going away together.

Earlier this week, Pattinson was shooting vampire fights on the second unit while the main crew filmed Stewart with Taylor Lautner’s “Jacob” and his boys and Leah’s transformation is revealed.
