The movie is based in a romance by John Green and got its rights by Paramount Pictures in 2005. John Schwartz( The O.C. creator) was hired to write the script and to direct the movie. The release date will be announced this year.
John Green said that the name of the movie is going to be changed to 'Famous Last Words'. According to several comments on IMDB, Kristen would be the best actress to play Alaska Young, an enigmatic, adventurous and self-destructive girl who charms the protagonist. The fact that they find Kristen a serious rival to the role is related with her physical similarities to the character ( sexy, charming, serious, funny and that has an unconventional beauty), to the similarity with her role in Adventureland and, of course, her talent as an actress
