TYH weekend box office -- # 50 and # 9!

I was just over at http://www.boxofficemojo.com/weekend/chart/ because I was curious to see how The Yellow Handkerchief fared at the weekend box office.

Since TYH only opened on seven screens, I knew that I would have to scroll down towards the bottom of the list. Lo and behold, there it was at number 50, with a weekend gross of $37,296.00.

HOWEVER, the good news is that out of all the films listed, TYH ranked ninth in Per Screen Average, coming in at $5,328.00 per screen. This was just below Avatar's take of $5,560.00 per screen.
