I saw Kristen in Into The Wild, and I was captivated. When we met, I knew right away she was right to play Joan Jett. She has a dark, tough quality about her.
Kristen about Joan:
She had all these people expecting her to act a certain way, to be a certain way, and she just did exactly what she wanted and was exactly who she wanted to be. I really admire the strength of doing what you want in this kind of world, where everyone has an opinion about what you should do.
