has revealed that Robert Pattinson once asked her to MARRY him!

The actress — who’s widely rumored to be dating her hunky Twilight costar — says the British actor went down on one knee — as a joke — to ask her for her in marriage

“He asked me to marry him,” Kristen, 20, told Britain’s News of The World newspaper.

“As a joke, though. Well, at least I think so!”

Rob, 23, recently revealed he has a “special bond” with Kristen.

“Kristen and I have a special bond together, she is the sweetest, smartest and strongest girl I know,” he said during a magazine interview. “If we have a relationship I would rather not say, because my words get twisted around too much and can be ‘old news’ by the time this interview is printed.

“I’ve been linked to a lot of actresses in Hollywood, most of them I find too silly and shallow that I would not want to date them.”
