Twilight heart throbs Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have been crowned the King and Queen of Summer 2010 in an online poll by E! Online
Now, if any doubt lingered on Robert’s popularity then it has been shred off with the poll results as Robert fetched a mammoth 68.7 % votes easily edging past the next man Robert Downey Jr. with his 31.3 %.
Kristen Stewart, on the other hand, harvested a decisive 61.6 % vote against Katy Perry’s 38.4%.
So, do Robert and Kristen deserve the title?
Without a doubt, the summer has been all about Robsten. With Eclipse opening big at the box office the world over, the humans were all gaga about the vampires. The amount of money that Eclipse (3rd edition from the Twilight saga) raked in is no mean feat
Add to that the frenzy around the non-Twilight movies of Robert and Kristen. Robert ensured a decent response and a tremendous hype for his ‘Remember Me’ while Kristen with her ‘The Runaways’ was splashed all over the colourful gossip pages
Add to that the fact that Robert and Kristen dished out a mock kiss at recent MTV Awards, they were snapped stealing a kiss on ‘On the Road’ sets and the duo are chased and shadowed morning, noon and night by the paparazzi and the mob and what you get are two people most deserving of the crown of Summer King and his Summer Queen. Anyone disagrees?
