'Breaking Dawn' news wrap: Cast confirms wedding shoot in Canada

Examiner: It's been known for a while now that the wedding/reception scene for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn was scheduled for filming in April. When several of the "humans" in the series were spotted around Vancouver, it became even more obvious that the time had come for production of that sequence.

Still, a confirmation of that fact is always helpful, and Breaking Dawn's Mia Maestro ("Carmen" - Denali Coven) took to Twitter to share one.

"Long wedding night until 6am. Everyone was SO neatly frocked up :) Just about to start facing this Saturday..."

Other Twilight stars have shared similar accounts of said night shoot on their Twitter pages.

Gil Birmingham ("Billy Black"): "14-hour all-night shoot yesterday. Vamps everwhere! First full day off . . . Night shoots sure mess with the internal time clock. Don't know if I should sleep or stay awake :)"

Ashley Greene ("Alice Cullen"): "whyyyyyyyy can't I fall asleep! These night shoots are killing me! Messing up my sleep patterns hard core."

Myanna Buring ("Tanya" - Denali Coven): "Night shoots kick my back side... leaving the birds to twitter I'm off to bed!"

There is some speculation that filming for Breaking Dawn has returned to a Vancouver studio called Canada Motion Picture Park with the Cullen House in tow. After all, just yesterday, Michael Welch ("Mike Newton") tweeted, "I'm in the Cullen replica house they built up in Canada. It's EXACTLY the same as the one in portland. I'm having crazy deja vu." Since the Cullen House set was rebuilt for use in New Moon and Eclipse, meant to replicate the original house used in Twilight, it has been set up in-studio. It would make sense, then, that the filmmakers would return to the same location parts of Eclipse were filmed.

Speaking of Breaking Dawn, another Twitter-based confirmation came through recently. According to Amadou Ly (whose part in the film(s) has yet to be fully revealed), there will indeed be a dance party extra on one of the DVDs for Breaking Dawn. This fact had been hinted at before by other castmates, and the consensus among fans is that director Bill Condon has orchestrated this as a wink to those who know his work in films like Dreamgirls and Gods And Monsters.

"Well we already know about the dancing part and that's something you'll judge. It will be on the DVD."

Meanwhile, another interview with Robert Pattinson from his Water For Elephants press junket has just come to the surface, by way of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (a.k.a. Golden Globes). In it, he stood next to the movie's elephant, Tai ("Rosie" in the film), and explained that he's not worried about the concept of being associated with, linked to, and asked about Twilight in the future.

"I’m not really concerned about it, they can refer to Twilight all they want if they like it . . . I guess there's really nothing you can do about it, you just keep doing movies and see what happens."
