Getting the opportunity to face off against "Twilight" star Kristen Stewart, Lily Collins has reportedly been selected to star as Snow White in Relativity Media's new take on the classic fairy tale.
With Miss Stewart on board for Universal's version of the well-known children's story, Miss Collins is said to have blown casting agents away with her audition for the lead in the newly-announced Tarsem Singh directed 3D project.
In good company, Lily - who's the daughter of rocker Phil Collins - joins fellow cast members including Julia Roberts as the Queen and Armie Hammer as the Prince.
With a release date slated for June 29, 2012, the Relativity offering is racing into theaters while beating out Stewart's version - which has been announced as having a debut date of December 21, 2012 while also starring Charlize Theron.

Lily Collins Or Kristen Stewart: Who's The Better Snow White?

I wish Hollywood would get it right and have Lily Collins be the Snow White in the Universal project. This competiveness is so utterly counter productive. Universal has the better script evil queen while Relativity has the better release date snow white casting. If an audience member even decides to go see a movie about snow white fat chance seeing how Red Riding turned out, they are going to hate the first one and never even sit through the second.
