Mtv: Given that we are MTV News, and the Movie Awards is one of our biggest events of the year, our intrepid team of writers, reporters and producers enjoy what is, hands down, the best behind-the-scenes access to any and everything that happens before, after and during the live broadcast. With that, we narrowed down a pretty impressive list of can't-believe-it-happened-off-camera moments for you.

In no particular order, here are the top five "events" witnessed backstage at the 2011 Movie Awards:
Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart Chest-Bump
We love it when the stars of our favorite films seem to be genuinely good friends both on and offscreen — especially when those real-life pals are two of our favorite "Twilight" actors, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner. In between accepting and presenting awards, we watched Stewart and Lautner greet each other backstage with an actual chest bump, which they followed up with a friendly hug.
OMG, Celebs Are Totally BFF
Not all of the celebs in Hollywood are BFF à la Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner, but because the rich and famous run in similar social circles, many are quite friendly with other. Often these celebrity friendships have sprung up unexpectedly. Case in point, all the palling around we saw backstage. First, Ryan Gosling and Tyrese hugging hello; Kristen Stewart and Lily Collins chatting about KStew's dog; and pretty, leggy blondes Blake Lively and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley giggling like schoolgirls during a marathon catch-up session.
JustJared: Cameron Diaz was also seen arriving and holding hands with on-again boyfriend, Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez. Spider-Man’s Andrew Garfield shared a few laughs with Twilight couple Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, who dressed down in a ripped t-shirt, jeans, and sneakers. Rob had co-presented Reese Witherspoon with the MTV Generation Award earlier in the evening. He shared that he wrote what he had to say down on cue cards on the car ride over to the ceremony but joked that it didn’t help “because [he] messed up all of the jokes anyway.”
Kristen later walked over to share a table with Emma Stone and a few other girlfriends.
Celebuzz: Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart Kiss & Party Down After MTV Movie Awards
So what did they do once they hit Jason Sudeikis‘ after-party? Here is the scoop:
The duo arrived together and never left each other’s sides.
“Kristen held Rob’s hand and led him through the small party, after they said hi to some friends they basically just hung out together,” says a source inside the shindig.
“Everyone at the party was in great spirits, there was good music, Rob and Kristen danced, laughed, and looked like they had a ball.”
As for PDA between the couple that played coy during their Best Kiss acceptance speech? (Remember, Rob swooped down into the audience and kissed co-star Taylor Lautner instead of Kristen).
“They were kissing and hugging, literally they did not leave each other’s sides,” says an onlooker at the private party.
So glad the couple got to unwind and let loose!
Even at the awards, Rob and Kristen were in their own world.
“I’m going to take you backstage,” Rob said with a giggle, causing many Twihards in the audience to gasp at the end of their Best Kiss speech.
Once the cameras were off them, an insider tells Celebuzz that the infamously private couple walked off the stage hand-in-hand, and were giggly and cuddly backstage.
Even when the lights dimmed on stage, Kristen held Rob’s hand when they showed the Breaking Dawn Pt. 1 trailer and even did a dance during the part when Edward broke the bed!
The insider also added that Rob’s Water for Elephants co-star Reese Witherspoon got her hair done before the show with KStew. Good to know that Kristen doesn’t mind being friends with the women who kiss her beau on-screen.
