K-11 Update: Kristen won't star in it, but her brother Cameron will be there

variety.com Exclusive: Kristen Stewart won't appear in "K-11," the directorial debut of her mother Jules Stewart -- but her older brother will, along with Goran Visnjic, D.B. Sweeney and Portia Doubleday.
Cameron Stewart will make his feature film debut in the indie, which his mom also co-wrote.

Also starring are Sweeney ("Hardball"), Doubleday ("Youth in Revolt"), Kate del Castillo ("La reina del sur"), Jason Mewes ("Clerks"), and Tommy "Tiny" Lister ("The Dark Knight").

The dark character ensemble stars Visnjic ("The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo") as a successful young record producer who wakes up after a three-day binge in a special unit of L.A. County's Men's Central Jail dedicated to vulnerable prisoners, a place ruled by a viper transsexual (del Castillo).

Cameron Stewart's role was still under wraps. Speculation ran rampant that his kid sister of "Twilight" fame would also play a transgendered character, but she is not involved in the project.

Shooting started July 18 at locations in Woodland Hills and Hollywood, and has moved on to the now-closed Sybil Brand correctional facility for women in Los Angeles County.

Libertine Films prexy Tom Wright is producing.

Jules Stewart, who is repped by ICM, co-founded Libertine after working for many years as a script supervisor.
