Body Language Experts Battle It Out!
R-Patz & K-Stew’s actions speak louder than their words when it comes to their relationship!
Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson spent LOTS of time together June 25 on the black carpet for the world premiere of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse at LA’s Staples Center. Photographers and Twi-Hards alike watched the hot couple’s every move and every interaction — but what does their body language really say about the state of their relationship? HollywoodLife.com consulted two top body language experts to decide once and for all how R-Patz and K-Stew really feel about each other.
After throughly analyzing red carpet photos of K-Stew and R-Patz, body language expert Dr. Lillian Glass believes the Twilight stars are “very connected.” Here are some of her findings:
- When Kristen grabs the back of Rob’s jacket, “it shows she’s got control over him. He’s smitten with her and she’s got him wrapped around her finger.”
- In a number of photos, “she’s leaning in to him and he’s leaning into her in a protective way, which is very loving. He’s also looking where she’s looking and gives a look of wondering what’s intriguing her gaze.”
- “He’s looking at her with such love — he’s looking at her with adoration, admiration and love.”
- Kristen feels very relaxed when she’s next to Rob. “Her knee is towards him and her toes are pointed in the same direction has his.”
- Rob gives a look that is “smug and confident that [Kristen] is with him, which says that they have a really good sexual connection.”
- “The one thing that’s consistent is their hips are touching, which shows that they are very connected.”
But not all the experts see eye-to-eye when it comes to Rob and Kristen’s relationship. Another body language expert, Patti Wood, believes the photos of Rob and Kristen from the Eclipse premiere signify a great deal of TENSION between the couple. In fact, she thinks he’s WAY more into her than she is into him. Here are some of her findings:
- By grabbing the back of Rob’s jacket it “shows what [Kristen is] doing behind the scenes and her desire to change the things in front of the camera.” The tension in her fist says: “I don’t want to hold you tenderly, but I don’t want you to step away.”
- In one image, they’re both looking down in the same way. “He’s focused on helping her walk and paying attention to her needs, which is not something most guys do on the red carpet.”
- At one point her hands and arms are pulled all the way back while he is reaching out to her. “She’s not doing any reciprocation and her pelvis is showing sexual withdrawal.” In addition, “the facial attention, the look, from the neck up is under conscious control. It looks like it’s posed sexually for the camera.”
- “She wants to be seen as an independent woman — which is why her shoulder is up and her hips away.”
- After changing out of her red carpet gown, she gives the look of “Now that’s over and we can just be buddies again.” They looked relaxed, as though they aren’t on camera anymore — even though they are. And he gives the impression that “He’s really proud of her and gives the ‘peacock puff,’ which says to everyone, ‘she relies on me’.”
Interesting on both sides. What do you think, BFFs? Do Rob and Kristen look like a happy couple in these photos, or is there something hidden behind their million-dollar smiles?
I think all the hype is just that...hype. I don't think they are into each other at all, except as friends. To me grabbing the back of his jacket means 'I want to own you regardless of what you're feeling for me' which is very controlling. In other pictures of this one night in particular, he looks peeved, tired and upset and is purposefully leaning away and ignoring her while talking animatedly with other people. He seems much more relaxed and more comfortable with everything going on around him when he's not with her or anywhere around. More often than not, he's very anxious around her, like if he says or does something she'll bite his head off, which she has done in numerous joint interviews and at event which they both must attend for Summit. She shows she doesn't respect him when she interrupts him and tries to put words in his mouth when he's having some difficulty answering a question posed to him. On talk shows, he leans away from her, curling up almost into a ball to hold himself away. I believe all of the 'tension' between the 2 is real, in that he's uncomfortable being with her and would rather be anywhere else than where he is. When he's not with her and with his bros he's relaxed, smiling, enjoying himself and much much happier. The months he was filming Bel Ami he was laughing, smiling and only started looking tense and upset when she showed up in Budapest. Pictures of him at the airport dropping her off, after a whole day and a half (at most) show him tense, irritated and uncomfortable. Afterwards, he was quickly back to the friendly, smiling Rob we all know and love. The longer she is away from him, the happier he appears to be. Their real-life relationship appears to be made up for promotion of the Twilight saga and nothing more than co-workers. I'll bet he's counting the days until the whole thing is finished so that he can be finished with her and get on with his own life again.
ReplyDeleteHi, this is your opinion, I respect others' opinions in general, just this is not the best place for people who doesn't like Kristen, it's a fan web blog, and I'm sure you know that.
ReplyDeleteJust commenting on what the 'analysis' of the photos, as noted in the blog, means to me. I'm not anti-Kris, just saying what I see in numerous photos that are easily available online to look at and draw my own conclusions from them, other than a choice few that seem to show one thing that supports only one point of view.
ReplyDeletewow i agree and disagree with both sides. and for the promotion for twilight thing they have to be connected to promote the way they have been. So whether they're together or not, I believe they have a wonderful connection on and off screen. oh and have you seen the recent alleged pis of them in Nola at a bar?

ReplyDeletewell dannie what was wrong with him in the pic's in LA when he looked piss and upset. Kristen was in Nola no were around Robert. He was drunk and looking confuse. Did'nt look happy.
